Vehicle capacity in delivery refers to the maximum number of units a vehicle can carry at once, such as the number of boxes, weight, volume, or pallets that can be loaded.  We consider the following when it comes to vehicle capacity in cold chain delivery:  

• Payload capacity: The payload capacity of a vehicle is calculated by subtracting the curb weight from the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR). The GVWR is the maximum weight the vehicle can support, while the curb weight is the weight of the vehicle itself.  
• Route optimization: Creating the most efficient delivery route can save time and money.  
• Packaging: Using lighter packaging materials or smaller containers can reduce the size and weight of parcels, allowing more to be loaded onto the vehicle. Customizing packaging to fit the shape of the products or vehicles can also help reduce the amount of space packages take up.  
• Overloading: Overloading a vehicle can damage its fuel economy, cause unnecessary wear and tear, and void insurance policies.
